Baseball Festival

On the 24th of June St Michael’s baseball club entered 2 teams in the Wales youth baseball festival based at Rumney rugby club Cardiff. The under 12 team many of which were playing their first games of baseball, got better as the day went on learning an awful lot from the quality opposition. In the under 14 age group St Mikes finished the day top of the group beating Cardiff sides Grange Catholics, St Albans, Fairwater and St Joseph’s, the only loss coming against Caerau Ely by 1 run . The team under the guidance of Peter Sanders show a great attitude to playing and learning the game. The day was very well organised and the players are keen to play more baseball throughout 2007.
